If your 90 day visa vignette has expired and you either:

have not been able to travel because of the Covid-19 pandemic, but have commenced your studies distantly from outside the UK and plan to travel to study the same course in the UK

have completed an entitled course by distance learning under Covid-19 concessions and are arriving to the UK by the relevant date to apply under the Graduate route.

You can get more information from the UK Home Office guidance (Link mentioned below in the comments section and description box).

In this scenario mentioned earlier, you will be required to make a paid application for a vignette transfer by filing the online form. Please keep in mind that the cost of changing an expired 90 day vignette is £154 and you will be required to make an appointment to provide your biometric information once again.

What happens if your 90 day visa vignette has expired and you either:

have delayed your course commencing date because of Covid-19 but have not been able to undertake your studies distantly, denoting that your course cannot be completed during your current visa period, and you now plan to travel to the UK

can still finish your course within the dates covered by your present visa period, but your course end date has amended, and you would like a new visa with a revised end date

In the afore mentioned scenario, you will be obligated to submit a new paid student visa application with a new Certificate of Acceptance of Study (CAS) to include the revised dates of your course. You will also be required to apply for an appointment to give your biometric information once more.
