NEW TRAVEL ADVICE FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS IN THE UK

In this video update we will be discussing about UK issuing new travel guidance for foreign students, and work allowed for 3 years after graduating

The UK Home Office has confirmed that the present global limitations may mean that many students will face interruptions.

According to the UK Home Office’s latest travel guidelines some flexibility has been offered into their rules for international students who are applying for study visa due to currently worldwide limitations as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The UK Visa and Immigration office stated that students who are unable to travel to the UK because of the limitations can start their studies online without applying for a Tier-4 student visa. It instructed that the international students to only apply for their visa when they are convinced they can travel.

This is included in the latest travel guidelines that was published by the UK Visa and Immigration Office for UK visa applicants and temporary UK residents.

The UK Home Office, while presenting the rule, confirmed that the current global limitations may mean that many students will face delays to their travel plans to start their studies this academic year and intrinsically had to come up with some suppleness to their immigration rules to support the students desiring to come and study in the UK.

As part of the rule, the UK Visa and Immigration office revealed that for the rest of 2020, they will issue visa vignettes for 90 days as contrary to the usual 30 days. This is to provide a longer window for the international students to travel, signifying more time and suppleness to arrange for their travel.

The travel advice by the Home Office also confirmed that the Graduate Route will be offered to international students who successfully finish their degree at undergraduate level or above, at a higher education provider with a past performance of compliance and who have valid Tier-4 or students leave at the time of application.

It also confirms that successful applicants will be able to live and work in the UK for 2 years after graduating, furthermore PHD graduates will get 3 years to live and work in the UK.
