The value of points for Express Entry applicants
If you are migrating to Canada under the Express Entry system, generally you fill out an online form first. After that, the automated online scoring system known as CRS will give you a score. Each applicant stays in the pool of Express Entry for up to one year. On the other hand, IRCC selects a few hundred applicants from the pool on monthly basis. What has transformed for the Francophone Express Entry applicants?
The government of Canada is dedicated to attain a target of 4.4% French-speaking immigrants outside of Quebec by the year 2023.
You can now get up to 50 extra points for strong French language skills (even if French is your second language).
Furthermore, you can get 25 extra points if you ‘Scored NCLC 7 or higher on all four French language skills and scored CLB 4 or lesser in English (or did not take an English test)
You can also get 50 additional points if you ‘Scored NCLC 7 or greater on all four French language skills and attained CLB 5 or higher on all four English skills
Can I take the French Language test to improve my CRS Score?
You can take either TEF Canada or TCF Canada despite the fact that your Express Entry application is active. For that reason, you can update your profile when you receive the test results.
